The Shaykh ‘Ali Al-Tantawi was a Syrian scholar of Egyptian decent. His life spanned from 1909 to 1999, where he prospered as a student, a journalist, a judge, a teacher and a preacher. He resided in Syria and Saudi Arabia and travelled extensively for various diplomatic missions, especially for the Palestinian cause.
